Endoscopy is the use of specialized equipment using high-definition camera to see inside your pet. It allows visualization of your pet's internal organs in the abdominal and chest cavity as well as looking into ears or up the nose to identify and diagnose a problem. It is a minimally-invasive approach to surgery that is less invasive than traditional surgery. When indicated, smaller incisions can be made which can improve recovery timeand reduce pain after a procedure. Endoscopy can also be used to treat internal infections such as respiratory Aspergillosis in birds or pneumonia in snakes.
